I shoot RAW plus JPG so I get the best of both worlds. Result was sharp, or at least as sharp as that lens gets. I shot a 1/8 second hand held photo with the Oly 14-150 II lens which has no stabilization at 150 mm. The Panasonic menus seem to have numerous pages of options, but that may be due to the vast amount of features the camera has with both photo and video. The menus - I get along with Olympus menus better along with it’s Super Control panel. There is the dedicated Exp Comp button but with all the wheels I don't know why one isn't defaulted to that. I had to dive into the menus and make adjustments. It seems on the G9 ALL the wheels just control aperture (or shutter speed for that mode). On my Oly camera when I am in aperture mode, one scroll wheel works for aperture and the other automatically defaults to Exposure compensation. Three scroll wheels - I had to figure out how these work. Going to take me a while to get all of them set to what works for me. I have not had a camera in a while that had one. The top plate LCD - haven't found myself looking at it much but I'm sure I will in the future. I would rather have a four way pad as opposed to the scroll wheel/menu button but that is just personal preference. The LCD is fine and the touchscreen works great. They feel clicky and have just the right amount of resistance.
#Black spot on photos lumix tv
I charged the battery fully once and I have made several 4K videos and played them all back on my tv via HDMI. That brings me to the next feature: battery life. Both worked pretty well but I think tracking was a bit better. I tried both face/eye detection and tracking. I used Cinelike V and the output looks great. My daughter does gymnastics and I had her do a kickover and handstand kickover and the 6K photo mode worked great.įor video, I had her do a dance routine and the video is basically broadcast quality. The 6K photo mode seems like a gimmick but it works well. Oly lenses work but there is a bit of difference in hit rate and video autofocus. Even doing some panning shots the hit rate is pretty good. I would never know it’s contrast only autofocus. I’ve used it several times and the hit rate is really good. And as far as accuracy goes, it went well. I think I accidentally turned on the electronic shutter (but I'm not completely sure) and somehow I shot around 300 frames in 30 minutes. I tested the C-AF on my kids riding bikes and the G9 did really well. When I press it, there is a second before it displays the last photo. The one thing that seems a bit laggy is the playback button. Not that my other cameras are slow, just the G9 is responds well when changing settings etc.
When using the camera everything is snappy. Just the other day I was thinking how nice the Oly viewfinder is. The Oly looked tiny and cramped and the refresh rate is glacially slow. Used the camera some and picked up my Oly EM5 II. After some fiddling I got it looking good. I think my contact lens was a bit foggy and I had trouble getting the diopter adjusted just right.
When I first looked through, it looked nice but it didn't wow me.
